HERMINE SOLT STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

The Pennsylvania
Association of Educational Office Professionals' Student Scholarship Fund was established
in 1992 for the purpose of aiding students in Pennsylvania to pursue higher education in a
business-related field.
Scholarships of $500 each will be offered to students who meet
the requirements. |
CRITERIA
- Scholastic achievement and motivation for higher
education.
- Qualities and traits of leadership, citizenship and
service to school and community.
- Financial need.
- Recommendation from business education department
member and/or school counselor must accompany application.
- Goal: A career in secretarial, office
technology, accounting, business education (including business education teaching).

Guidelines for Applicants:
The completed Hermine Solt Student
Scholarship Application, official transcript and recommendation must be received by
the PAEOP Scholarship Committee chairman on or before March 1.
Members of the committee will receive copies of the application with name and address
deleted, so they can determine that all questions have been ansered. Incomplete
applications will be disqualified.
Winners will be chosen by an impartial selection committee selected by the
Scholarship Committee chair and approved by the PAEOP president.
The number and amounts of scholarships to be awarded each year will depend upon the
availability of funds. A recommendation will be made by the Scholarship
Committee to the PAEOP Executive Board for approval.
Final selection will be made by April 1. Announcement of the winner(s) will be made
at the annual PAEOP Conference. Payment of the scholarship will be made
directly to the college, upon written notification of the student's acceptance in a
business-related program.
The format of the application form may not be changed in any way. All materials
submitted shall become the property of PAEOP.
